Be Good

John 1:1-5 (NIV) 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome[a] it.

The beginning and end of anything is the word. In Genesis, after God spoke things into existence, He saw that it was good and what was good in His eyes was all that He acknowledged. Hear no evil. Speak no evil. See no evil. How do we then know what good or evil is? Since God is all good and God became the word and the word became God, I’m going to guess good is based on the quality of your words, not necessarily the quantity.

A pure intention, a word spoken from the heart is something you are souled out on. A holy(whole) word carries 100% weight and is the activation code to unlocking your future. There is no benefit in doubt. Good and bad are subject to your personal judgment. When we ask God to reveal to us what’s behind each door, we receive answers. If you feel like you’re being tested, you are.

Your life is constantly testing your own word against the weight of your life. How do we measure the goodness of our words? Doubt operates like a pollutant, clogging up our world so we can’t see clearly which way we’re going. The environment of your mind, your garden will get murkier and murkier due to uncertainty if you haven’t developed a well trained mind, a mind set on clear intentions.

Proverbs 4:23 (NIV) 23 Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.

The danger in this is that we can manifest our pure desires but in order to live a holy life unto God, the murky stuff has the go, the cloud of confusion is obstructing your view. Just like the sun doesn’t lose its fixed position, God is still there, behind the clouds, waiting for you to make up your mind. That is why we are warned:

There is power in the tongue and the bill always comes due. Let God’s word go before yours to avoid writing checks with your mouth that you will have to pay in labor instead of being about your Father’s business. Inevitably, you are a man of your word. We can all say that. Your peace is the product of the integrity of your word.

Psalm 37:4 (NIV)
4 Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you the desires of your heart.

The problem with a complaining spirit is God doesn’t hear you. You don’t match His vibration. Have you ever seen a parent tune a child out? I mean, some parents are really good, even with the child in their face they seem to not notice their child’s behavior. On the other hand, you want to go left and snatch their little tails. Communicating with God is the same way. If it’s good, He’s multiplying and breathing life on it. If it’s outside of His will, you’re spinning in circles. Just like God, your parents may leave you spinning even though it makes you a vulnerable target to the reactions of those whose peace you’re disturbing with your unruly behavior. Also like God, those same parents are the loudest ones to cheer when you do well. Their stillness in your bad behavior is not due to a lack of love, it’s because they know when you’ve had enough of the consequences of disturbing the peace, you’ll always cry out to them. The child knows your faithfulness in responding to them is guaranteed no matter what they do.

Luke 6:45
The [intrinsically] good man produces what is good and honorable and moral out of the good treasure [stored] in his heart; and the [intrinsically] evil man produces what is wicked and depraved out of the evil [in his heart]; for his mouth speaks from the overflow of his heart.

They will learn discipline through chastisement, God holding back His applause. The unruly child spinning in circles is looking for praise but as long as it is out of bounds it will be ignored and chastised, on love lock down. Love is the key so whatever you love, whatever you speak life to will come into existence because God will give you the desires of your heart and out of the mouth flows the desires of the heart. See the connection?

James 1:17
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

Speak life to your plans. Speak perfect, wholly, fully devoted words into your life. Unlock the secret to peace by only committing to that which is on your desired path and cancel all bad contracts today.  Always, always ask God to reveal His will to you so that you may seek Him to love Him with all your heart, mind and soul.
