    Imagine

Imagine Imagine having an aneurysm and a stroke Imagine that leading to a divorce Imagine being in the hospital for a month Imagine them constantly waking you up Imagine being poked to the point of pain so they know your hand is not dead Imagine being a woman of child bearing age having your cycle and you can’t get out of bed Imagine being humiliated and grateful for the aid Imagine going from achieving independence to having to go back into the system Imagine not being able to pay your bills Imagine gaslighting in the midst of this ordeal Imagine being called crazy while you’re trying to heal Imagine being…

    Queening

The weight of the crown is heavy, so the Queen can not run. You must always protect the Queen. In life, entertainment is only displaying how to win in the world. The royal court of Wakanda is a display of a greater kingdom that can not be seen with carnal eyes. The principles remain the same but in the kingdom of God there is a standard of substance. In the world, the queen fights to protect the image of the crown. Notice that her head was exposed when she went to bow down to the outsider after she rejected the opportunity to accept her nephew who affectionately addressed her in…

    A Renewed Mind

Accepting that I gave myself permission to do something terrible is what causes me to resist change. It’s easier to continue justifying bad behavior than it is to change that behavior because it means admitting that what I’m doing is indeed terrible. My ability to normalize dysfunction is challenged by taking responsibility for my choices. It’s a skill I need to abandon because it is extremely damaging. The challenge now is to remove all distractions and reminders of who I used to be, someone who normalizes dysfunction and walk in the light of who I am now, someone who takes responsibility for my choices. It’s not easy to face my…

    Be Good

The beginning and end of anything is the word. In Genesis, after God spoke things into existence, He saw that it was good and what was good in His eyes was all that He acknowledged. Hear no evil. Speak no evil. See no evil. How do we then know what good or evil is? Since God is all good and God became the word and the word became God, I’m going to guess good is based on the quality of your words, not necessarily the quantity. A pure intention, a word spoken from the heart is something you are souled out on. A holy(whole) word carries 100% weight and is…

    Level Up In Love

1 Corinthians 13:2   And if I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. In life, we often strive to achieve greatness. In all things we seek to become great at, the greatest of them all should be the way we love each other but it seems to me that love has become the one thing that we give ourselves permission to lack when things aren’t working out in our favor. If we want to achieve greater in our careers, the first thing we seek to do is to add…

    Favor for Patience

I love the Word of God so much. It’s true and never fails. Today, I was picking up Noah at the airport and was going through security when a TSA agent appeared out of nowhere and opened the ropes then said “I need 4 people this way. Only 4.” I was number four! I’ve been seeing this number everywhere lately and it’s reassurance of God’s protection as I adjust to changes happening in my life. Ok, back to my story. I don’t know how many people we went ahead of but I do know that God goes first and He knew that I needed the extra time for the challenge…

    Enjoy Favor

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you Peace & Blessings, Soul Family… I just experienced something I want to share with you guys. Have you ever wanted to purchase something and had an internal battle with yourself about whether or not you should do it? Of course, you have, we all do. Long story short, I bought what I wanted but the battle didn’t end there. I was still having thoughts about upcoming expenses and had to stop and breathe before sending myself into a minor anxiety attack, lol. This is where…

    Write It Off

Have you ever been emotionally bankrupt? Tonight, I let go of a situation I should have released 11 years ago. I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy in 2008 who deserved love and acceptance like every other child brought into this world. The circumstances surrounding his birth were complicated to say the least but my unwavering heart still expected the best from his father. Before our child was 2 years old, he stopped sending financial support and without cause was denying paternity, saying he was influenced by his new girlfriend commenting that the child didn’t look like him. Truth is stronger than lies so I took the sensible road…

    Meditation

Meditation can be overwhelming. The most common thing I hear from people who have trouble eliminating distractions is that they can’t clear their thoughts. When I meditate, I close my eyes and clear each thought one by one. I visualize calling myself in from all the people and places that have me distracted. For example, if I can’t stop thinking about chatting with my mom, I visualize leaving her house or hanging up the phone and walking to the spot I’m sitting in until I’m there with myself. I do this until I feel completely present in the moment. I release the need to feed energy to the distractions in…
